Flash back to Bush’s inauguration in 2000

Quite a difference from Obama’s public reception down Pennsylvania Avenue…while Obama was waving to loud hysterical cheers, Dubya was dodging eggs!

Bush and the size 10 shoes

without comments

The only shocking thing about this incident is how the guy could miss from only a few feet away! As pointed out by one of my friends though, we do have to give it to bush, he did do a good job of dodging the flying pair of size 10’s and we haven’t seen Jr dodge that quick since the Vietnam War draft

The new hope…

without comments

cloudcomp3_hope

Bush’s reign was always going to come to an end, the scary question was whether his legacy would continue on. Obama’s inclusion into the campaign battlefield initiated little glimmers of hope, which then evidently rapidly spread and turned a country on it’s head. And though JH’s demise last year in the Australian federal election was huge and spoke volumes about the frustration of the population, nothing really compares to Obama’s win in the U.S. You could sit there and analyse the results for hours, but in the end it really all comes down to the fact that the greater hope, a new kind of hope prevailed. It’s amazing what can happen when people actually wake up and vote.
